A harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit, red roses, and earthy forest floor. Juicy on the palate with a silky mouthfeel and a satin texture. This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cherry and a hint of cocoa powder with a long, supple finish.
This wine is very energetic with a creamy texture and a depth of fruit that is accented by an edge of acidity that refreshes the palate - steely and rich at the same time.

Animo by Michael Mondavi Family
Animo is the Italian word for "soul." In the family's experience, only certain vineyards possess this indescribable spirit that enables the creation of exceptional wines. The family selected the vineyards for Animo wines for their quality attributes and profound soul.
The grapes for our Animo Heritage Sauvignon Blanc grow in eastern Napa Valley, from rootstocks with origins tracing back to the esteemed Château d’Yquem in the Sauternes region of France. Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown in the stony, volcanic terroir atop Atlas Peak, at an elevation between 1,270 to 1,350 feet, overlooking the town of Oakville in Napa Valley.
Winemakers Sabrina Massola and Rob Mondavi, Jr walk the vineyard rows during harvest to pick each block at the peak moment, heeding the fruit’s expression while respecting the spirit of each vineyard. The Animo name continues to inspire exceptional wines that invite a journey of the soul.
