The son of Michael and Isabel Mondavi, Rob was raised in the Stag's Leap district of Napa Valley and spent much of his childhood among the vines and barrels at Robert Mondavi Winery. After working in other areas of the wine business, Rob was drawn to production and turned his focus to vineyards and winemaking.

In 2004, Rob joined the Michael Mondavi Family winemaking team as a fourth-generation Napa Valley winemaker. Rob assumed the role of Head of Winemaking in 2012 and continues to work closely with Winemaker Sabrina Massola to craft sustainable wines that express the family’s Napa Valley roots.

A native Argentine, Sabrina Massola began her winemaking journey in South America. After graduating from the University of Mendoza with a degree in Viticulture and Winemaking, she worked in Argentina for Bodega Foster in Luján de Cuyo, followed by Rio Dulce S.A. in Barrancas Maipu, Mendoza. Later she moved to Chile to make wine for Viña Luis Felipe Edwards in the Colchagua Valley. Meeting the Mondavi family in Argentina led to an opportunity to make wines in another new region, and Sabrina packed her bags to move to Napa Valley.

Since joining the Michael Mondavi Family team, Massola has been intimately involved in every aspect of winemaking, production, quality control, and bottling. As Winemaker she leads the decisions in the vineyards and cellar, in collaboration with Michael Mondavi Family Head of Winemaking Rob Mondavi, Jr.
